Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. To Host 34th Annual Health Fair, Heart Walk

The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated will host its 34th Annual Health Fair on Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Greenbriar Mall from 10am-2pm. There will be a Heart Walk from 8am - 9am with registration beginning at 7:30am. The health fair will consist of vendors from the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness, Alzheimers Association, Grady Health Center Infectious Disease Program, Humana, Decatur Pediatric Group, and many more.  Please come out and receive free screenings on high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, as well as information on health and children services. There will be live entertainment as well as a step show performed by our very own Delta Step Team.

Founded in 1913, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is a non-profit organization with more than 250,000 initiated members who have provided assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter, under the leadership of its president Camille Smith Zeigler, continues to be a dynamic and vital force in the development and implementation of outstanding public service programs and projects, which have benefited the Atlanta community. The chapter supports the needs of high school seniors with annual scholarships. In 2011, the chapter was the top fundraising team in Georgia for the 19th Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, raising more than $20,000 to help find a cure for this disease that affects nearly 5.4 million Americans.
