The Atlanta chapter of the National Action Network is an organization dedicated to political and social activism. The Atlanta chapter is a branch of the National Action Network (NAN), which is headquartered in New York. The NAN Atlanta chapter is committed to helping people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and otherwise confronted with crises related largely to civil rights and other violations.  The chapter focuses on social, economic and political issues geared toward improving human conditions in the Atlanta-area community, and society at large.

Additionally, the chapter strives to promote to gender, cultural, religious and ethnic diversity and works to end discrimination, oppression and other social injustices. The chapter carries out its mission in a number of ways, including community organizing, social advocacy, education and political action. NAN Atlanta welcomes membership without regard to race, creed, religion or sexual orientation.
