BeltLine Meeting Thursday in Cascade

Atlanta City Council members Joyce Sheperd, Carla Smith and Cleta Winslow to host community meeting.

Several members of the Atlanta City Council are holding a meeting Thursday, Feb. 7 to give Cascade residents an update on the Atlanta BeltLine.

The meeting is scheduled to go from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Atlanta Metropolitan College's Dennard Center, 1630 Metropolitan Parkway SW.

The BeltLine, a series of trails, greenspace and baths, will form a necklace of parkspace around the city and connect more than 45 Atlanta neighborhoods.

Atlanta City Council members Joyce Sheperd, Carla Smith and Cleta Winslow will host the meeting which is designed to give residents an update on where the project currently stands.

The public is being asked to provide its input on how the various remaining parts of the plan and to help prioritize the current list of projects.
