Best Deals on Gas Tuesday in Greater Cascade Area

Like motorists across the country, southwest Atlanta drivers are wincing at the pump as rising gas prices continue to climb amid tension in Libya and The Middle East. 

The average price for regular gas in Georgia was $3.48 per gallon on Tuesday, according to the AAA Auto Club South's daily fuel gauge report.

The national average price per gallon is up 15 cents to $3.59 a gallon, according to the site. That compares to an average of $2.80 a year ago.

Prices range from $3.42 to $3.59 a gallon for regular gas in gas stations in and around southwest Atlanta and much of South Fulton, according to www.georgiagasprices.com.

Here are five of the lowest gas Cascade Patch found in the West End, southwest Atlanta and the greater Sandtown area, as reported by motorists on Georgia Gas Prices in the past 24 hours:

$3.42 at RaceWay, 3580 Campbellton Rd., at Barge Road.

$3.42 at QuikTrip, 5705 Fulton Ind Blvd., near Camp Creek Pkwy.

$3.43 at Texaco, 3749 Campbellton Rd., at Fairburn Road.

$3.45 at Citgo, 4060 MLK Dr. and Fulton Industrial Boulevard. 

$3.45 at Shell, 1850 Metropolitan Pkwy. and Fair Drive.
