1) Weekend @ Landon’s:

When/Where: Landon’s Restaurant and Bar; 3752 Cascade Road, Suite 100; Friday 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Event: Friday night starts off the weekend with Jazz under the stars. The Friday Night Jazz event will feature the jazz sounds of the Blake Music Group. Then on Saturday, you will be entertained by the styles and musical production of Floyd Grant. You can come out to the enclosed patio and get mesmerized by their sound while sipping on fine wine, signature drinks or whatever quenches your thirst. Order from the menu and enjoy sharing appetizers with your guest, dining on fine American cuisine and/or delve into a fine desert. Also you can relax in the restaurant/ bar area and enjoy the music and atmosphere from afar.

Sunday is a going to be a great treat as they close out 2011 right with Last Cigar Sunday. Enjoy this event where there will be a light affair pub buffet along with something virgin to drink. Premium cigars are available for purchase or bring your own, as well as a cash bar of premium cognacs and other spirits. 2) Southwest Arts Center Presents…. The Nativity:

Southwest Arts Center, 915 New Hope Rd., Friday 8 p.m., Saturday 2:30 p.m. & 8 p.m. and Sunday 2:30 p.m.

The Event: Many movies and plays have been made in dedication to the Christmas season, some spiritual while others delve into the exploitation of it; well Atlanta’s own Kenny Leon is taken a gospel approach to telling the Christmas story. True Colors Theatre Company presents "The Nativity: A Holiday Gospel Celebration."

Come out to the Arts Center and enjoy the gospel telling of the birth of Jesus Christ.The power of the story of the Nativity is told through dance, poetry, scripture and song that connects us today with that God giving time over 2000 years ago in that manger in the City of David.

You will get to know the people, the time and what this day truly represents. Bring your family and experience the real meaning of Christmas and the faith that flows with it.
