Tea Up the Month with Helpful Tips

Did you know there are many uses for tea? Follow this 10-Day series to learn of the many useful purposes tea can serve.

Do you prefer coffee or tea? January is National Hot Tea month, and in honor of the occasion EWM presents 10 Days of Tea: Beauty, Home, and Garden Tips

I’ve been drinking my morning coffee since I was 17, but after learning of all the uses there are for tea other than drinking it, I may change my beverage of choice.

Tea plants originated in Asia, probably where China, India and Burma meet. It’s known that tea was used as a beverage in China as far back as the 10th century B.C. and the commodity made its way to Europe via Portugese importers in the 16th century. Thank goodness for the Western Hemisphere! Tea is credited with numerous health benefits. It is available in many forms including herbal, caffeinated, and decaf. A variety of types can be found on most grocery store shelves. For the purposes of our 10 Days of Tea, I recommend you simply buy a large box of inexpensive tea bags.

Tune in tomorrow to see Day 1:  Tea is a Shoe-In
