1 Man Shot Dead at West End Tattoo Shop

Wednesday evening turned tragic when a man was shot dead at a tattoo parlor on Lee Street.

The West End Mall area is dealing with another tragic shooting today, as news spreads of a deadly shooting that killed 1 person and left another wounded on Wednesday evening at Tattoo & Piercing.

Anton Johnson, 39 was pronounced dead at the scene when EMS arrived.  The name of the other victim that was transported to Grady has not been released. He is said to be in his 20's.

According to police, "officers responded to the tattoo parlor at 806 Lee St regarding a person shot call.  Upon arrival officers located two males who appeared to have been shot," said Officer Chafee.

One of the victims died at the scene, the other was transported to Grady in critical condition.  Officer Chafee explained, "it appears that both victims work at the location and at this time the motive remains unclear."

One male who appeared to be in his late thirties was deceased at the scene and the second male who appeared to be in his mid twenties was transported to Grady Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest. - Officer John Chafee
