1 Man Shot Dead at West End Tattoo Shop

Wednesday evening turned tragic when a man was shot dead at a tattoo parlor on Lee Street.

The West End Mall area is dealing with another tragic shooting today, as news spreads of a deadly shooting that killed 1 person and left another wounded on Wednesday evening at Tattoo & Piercing.

Anton Johnson, 39 was pronounced dead at the scene when EMS arrived.  The name of the other victim that was transported to Grady has not been released. He is said to be in his 20's.

According to police, "officers responded to the tattoo parlor at 806 Lee St regarding a person shot call.  Upon arrival officers located two males who appeared to have been shot," said Officer Chafee. 

One of the victims died at the scene, the other was transported to Grady in critical condition.  Officer Chafee explained, "it appears that both victims work at the location and at this time the motive remains unclear."

One male who appeared to be in his late thirties was deceased at the scene and the second male who appeared to be in his mid twenties was transported to Grady Hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the chest. - Officer John Chafee

Damn AJ.... I have looking for you for a while.. I remember you when you were at infamous and doing tats out your house.. You used to always say I'm going to get me a shop and I was SOOOOOO happy when I found you and now your gone... I'm just so sick to my stomach... you were always a spiritual and talented person... I will look at my tat and always remember you!!!!

AJ you were such a good, good friend. I will miss you so much. God please rest your soul, find peace for your family and find the animal that did this and put him in a cage for the rest of his life with a picture of AJ's kids to remind him what he did.

Wow i got my tattoo's and pircings done by this wonderful/sweet man this world is just getting too out of hand.... I pray and hope that they find who did this to him yall took this,man from his children then on top of the his parents!!!! And other folks who loved him smh rest in peace aj
