Art@Work Holds Special Showcase At West End Performing Arts 7/19

The Fulton County Department of Arts and Culture will be holding its 2013 Art@Work Summer Exhibit on July 19th at 6 p.m.

The event will take place at The West End Performing Arts Center.

The program, now in its 18th year, is a six-week summer program to "provide opportunities for teens interested in visual arts, performing arts, and job training.

According to the Fulton Arts website, "students in the (AAW) program become Apprentice Artists and are employed to design, create, and market original works of art."

The program targets at-risk, underserved youth that are between the ages of 14-16 years-old and are offenders who were referred by the Juvenile Courts or a school or other community organizations.

Make sure to come out to the exhibit on Friday and support these artists and their aspirations to do better! You may just find the next priceless piece of art...
