Once again another long week is coming to an end. Now the weekend is here and you have nothing planned. No worries, Cascade Patch is here to help plan your activities.

  • Wolf Creek Amphitheater Opens its Summer Season with Gladys Knight on May 3rd. The seven-time Grammy Award Winner and former lead singer of the legendary group Gladys Knight and the Pips will grace the stage at Wolf Creek Amphitheater on May 3rd.
  • Neighborhood Jazz @ John A. White Park. (CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER) Presented in partnership with  Atlanta city council member Keisha Lance Bottoms, this neighborhood concert is a miniature Jazz Concert in one of Atlanta’s neighborhood parks.  Our goal is to provide cultural experiences in community backyards, and provide an opportunity for families to enjoy jazz. May 4, 2013 @ 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at John A. White Park, 1053 Cascade Circle SW
  • Neighborhood Jazz at Gordon-White Park. (CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER) Presented in partnership with Atlanta city council member Cleta Winslow, this neighborhood concert is a miniature Jazz Concert in one of Atlanta’s neighborhood parks. May 5, 2013 @ 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Gordon-White Park, White Street SW
  • CAU's 20th Annual Jazz Under the Stars.  On Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., the Clark Atlanta University Guild (CAU Guild) will host the Twentieth Annual Jazz Under the Stars concert to benefit our scholarship campaign. Performing will be “Ramsey Lewis”, a renowned Jazz Artist, along with the Clark Atlanta University Jazz Vocal Ensemble and Clark Atlanta University Jazz Orchestra.
  • Committed to Communities - Westview area Home Tour - Saturday, May 4, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM Starting Point:1630 Rogers Avenue SW.  Please join us at our 8th Committed to Communities event which will showcase homeownership possibilities in Westview and adjacent neighborhoods.
  • Atlanta Zetas and The Mall West End host the "15th Annual Stork’s Nest Blitz: Baby and Health Fair". The fair will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at The Mall West End from noon to 4pm with the prenatal workshop beginning at 1:30 pm in the community room (basement level of the mall). The baby and health fair is free and open to the public. Activities will include various fun movement and dance exercises inspired by our First Lady Michelle Obama “Let’s Move!” campaign.

  • Ben Hill United Methodist Church Healthy Living For People of Color Seminar.   • Carver College 67th Annual Commencement on Saturday, May 4th, at 11a.  Dr. Crummie, President of Carver College invites us to join him.
  • Fiesta Atlanta 2013 - Cinco de Mayo.  Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the 7th annual Fiesta Atlanta on Sunday May 5th, 2013 at Centennial Olympic Park in the heart of Atlanta!  Fiesta Atlanta features a daylong Cinco de Mayo celebration, featuring international, national and local recording artists, mariachi music, Mexican folk dancing, a 5K Run/Walk, youth soccer clinics and sponsor displays with free product samples, arts and crafts and authentic international foods make Fiesta Atlanta a true multicultural celebration!
  • Biggest Cinco de Mayo Party at No Mas Cantina. For Cinco, this Castleberry Hill venue will host what it says will be the biggest all-day party in town, starting at 11 a.m. In addition to full menu service, open patio, and satellite bars, the event will feature live salsa music, Cuervo Girls and give-aways.
