Cascade Rescue Pet of Week

Every pet—including those that have been rescued from different situations—should have a place to call home. Why not yours?

Meet Austin, a healthy 16-pound black face Pekingese, with a very outgoing personality.

Austin loves to play and run around in the yard. He has a take charge attitude when it comes to other dogs, so he would be best as an only dog. This 2 year old loves attention and has protective instincts.

Because of his breed, he needs to be groomed, but his tan coat is easy to clean.

Austin is very protective of his toys and because of this and his personality, he would work best with an owner who has owned dogs before who does not have very young children or seniors in the home.

Animal control found him as a stray and Atlanta Pet Rescue saved him and brought him back to being healthy. Though not completly house broken, he has some obedience training and is crate trained, but he does not like it.
