Cops in Schools: Good Idea or Bad?

Each Atlanta school will get a fulltime officer when classes begin next month. Should other school systems follow?

Atlanta's public school system will have a fulltime police officer assigned at every middle and high school when classes begin next month.

A total of 55 officers will be assigned to patrol each school, according to Fox5 Atlanta. The system will no longer use off-duty police personnel as it has in the past.

The Atlanta school system is the first in the metro area to use fulltime, on-duty police officers.
