Deltas Raise More than $12,000 in Saturday Alzheimer's Walk

Southwest Atlantans who are members the Delta Sigma Theta Inc., Atlanta Alumnae chapter were among the crowd of more than 1,000 walkers in the 19th Annual Walk to End Alzheimer's at Atlantic Station.

The members of are taking the lead in the  fight against Alztheimer's.

On Saturday, Southwest Atlantans who are members the Delta Sigma Theta Inc., Atlanta Alumnae chapter were among the crowd of more than 1,000 walkers in the 19th Annual Walk to End Alzheimer's at Atlantic Station. According to member Diane Larche', the organization raised $12,000 to help find a cure for the dementia disease that affects nearly 5.4 million Americans.

Last month, the Deltas held a community forum on Alzheimer's at the former location of 815 Lynhurst Dr. 

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is a non-profit organization with more than 300,000 members providing established programs in communities around the world.
