Facing Foreclosure? Come to the 'Help Homeowners Community Event' starting Today

23 mortgage companies to attend the large community help event on Friday and Saturday

The Obama Administration’s Making Home Affordable Program, The HOPE NOW Alliance and NeighborWorks® America will hold a Help for Homeowners Community event on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2 at the Georgia International Convention Center.

The free event is part of a nationwide effort to provide help for struggling homeowners by connecting them directly with their mortgage servicer and a HUD-approved housing counselor to discuss alternatives to foreclosure. Over 2,000 Georgia homeowners received assistance from mortgage companies and non-profit housing counselors at a similar event last June.

If you are having troubles making your mortgage payments, lost your job, have been turned down from a loan modification or even if your home is already listed for sale, this event may be able to help you.

The event is always large and you can expect many people will drive to College Park from other cities and states, just for the chance to speak to someone that can help. Make sure to click on the picture of the flyer in this story, so you can see what documents you must bring with you to the event.
