Fit Neighborhood Owner Meika Louis-Pierre First Blog Post Friday

Coach Meika Louis-Pierre has helped hundreds of Atlanta men, women and children jump start their fitness regimen and make wellness a priority.

Now, the former National Basketball Association staffer and founder of southwest Atlanta's , at 5495 Cascade Road, is preparing to post tips on everything from cardio and strength training to making healthier food choices on her new Cascade Patch blog, which premieres this Friday.

Meika is an active member of the Atlanta community and a former assistant coach of the 2006 AAAA Georgia High School State Champion Girls’ Basketball Team. Also considered an engaging local subject matter expert, Meika has been featured in Heart and Soul, Enliven Atlanta and Atlanta Home & You, and regularly contributes articles on nutrition and fitness to local publications.

In 2007, Meika launched , the first boot camp program in the south Fulton County area, and currently the only local boot camp company to offer women-only classes.

In 2010, she opened , southwest Atlanta’s only group fitness facility for men, women, athletes and kids. Her rigorous programs challenge and transform a wide range of clients, including stay-at-home moms, student athletes and entire families seeking a dynamic program designed for optimum results.

Meika received a dual Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Florida State University, where she was heavily involved with the university’s sports program.

She later accepted a position with the National Basketball Association (NBA) before pursuing a career as a fitness trainer and life coach.
