Gas Prices Down; Best Deals in Greater Cascade Area Tuesday

Cascade Patch's report on southwest Atlanta's lowest gas prices.

Gas prices in southwest Atlanta are following a national trend and on a slight decline this week, according to a review of fuel and transportation websites Tuesday morning.

The average price for regular gas in Georgia was $3.44 Tuesday morning—down from $3.48 per gallon a week ago—according to the AAA Auto Club South's daily fuel gauge report.

The national average price per gallon is down about 3 cents to $3.547 a gallon from last Tuesday, according to information from the site. That compares to an average of $2.72 about a year ago.

Prices range from $3.34 to $3.79 a gallon for regular gas in gas stations in and around southwest Atlanta and much of South Fulton, according to www.georgiagasprices.com.

$3.35 at Marathon, 4410 Roosevelt Hwy., at S. Cook Road.

$3.38 at Shell, 4336 Fulton Industrial Blvd SW, near I-20 Exit 49.

 $3.38 at Chevron, 4485 Campbellton Rd & County Line Rd.

$3.45 Express Zone, 374 Cleveland Ave SW, near I-75 Exit 241.
