Holiday Shopping Starting Even Earlier This Year

Soon retailers will be offering deals to start holiday shopping right after we finish trick or treating with the kids.

Black Friday 2012 will be here sooner than ever this year.  In a move that has received its share of media attention, Walmart and Target will be vying to get holiday shoppers into their stores even before "Black Friday."

Target has just joined other major retailers in moving their Black Friday to Thursday evening.  Thursday evening is, of course, the time when many families gather for Thanksgiving dinner.  Many people on Twitter heard the news and made comments such as, "#RetailMadness continuing to encroach on a family holiday."

According to a CBS Atlanta report, Walmart is also in on this Thanksgiving Day sale and will open their doors at 9 p.m. to holiday shoppers.  They already must expect a rush because Walmart is also rolling out a "one-hour guarantee." According to the report, "the store will guarantee that customers who are inside the store, and in the line between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. can purchase the electronics at special low prices."
