Looks Recent, but This Is Black History

Cascade Patch is celebrating Black history all month long.

As we continue to celebrate Black History Month, we found this photograph from not long ago that still is part of Black history.

Former Chief Eldrin Bell was the first African-American Police Chief of the City of Atlanta, and it took all the way until 1990 for this to happen.  Chief George N. Turner is the current APD Chief of Police.

Until recently Mr. Bell was the Clayton County chairman, but lost a tight run-off election in August of 2012.
