Man Dies at Northside Drive Chevron from Gunshot Wound
Gunshots rang out near the AUC campus, leaving one dead.
Atlanta homicide investigators were still combing thru the crime scene at 74 Northside drive during the afternoon rains Monday.
According to Ofc. Jones, a man was struck in the head by gunshot outside of the Subway restaurant on Northside Drive that shares the parking lot with the Chevron gas station. The location is at Northside Dr and Markham Street, near the AUC and the Dome. Jones said, "upon arrival on the scene, the victim was found shot to death in the parking lot."
According to Jones, "witnesses stated that the victim was pumping gas when he was shot by a black male who walked up from the street."
No information about a possible suspect or motive has been released to Cascade Patch at the time of publishing this article, but APD does say that it, "appears that the victim was not a random target."
