Fulton County Police have released very basic and preliminary information about the accident that shut down 285 last night after midnight.
According to Fulton County Police, the victim was crossing 285s near the Cascade Road exit when he was hit by a tractor-trailer. The department has said that the man was carrying gas cans, and was most likely trying to retrieve gas after his car ran out.
WSB-TV reported that the Fulton County Medical Examiner identified the accident victim as Russell Buckley, 33 years-old from Norfolk, Massachusetts.
