NPU-T Code Compliances are Starting to be Addressed

Thanks to determination of NPU-T Members, some of the code compliance issues are starting to be addressed.

NPU-T Chair, Nia Knowles, has said that some of the code compliance issues that they were dealing with have started to be resolved.  NPU-T has been working with Major Davis of the Atlanta Police Department to unclog the system and clear a backlog that hampered the reporting of code issues.

Ms. Knowles said, "Our meeting with Major Davis was very informative and productive. I am confident we will continue to move forward in the right direction, however it is our job (as residents) to ensure we utilize all resources available to assist APD in tackling these issues in a timely manner."

According to NPU-T, the "backlog" has been cleared and will no longer be the hindrance for action on reported items.  NPU-T has been assigned "Officer Kirkland" as their code officer-  this is a interim role until one is permanently hired. Nonetheless, this is still reason to celebrate, says Nia Knowles.

Your support and involvement is still needed. Please remember to send pictures of your code violations for submission to their Facebook page and to atlcodeproblems@yahoo.com.
