Overnight Storms Bring Down Trees throughout Atlanta

Some trees in Southwest Atlanta fell due to the Monday night storms.

Monday night saw thousands of people throughout the greater Atlanta area without power after a series of thunderstorms swept thru the area.  If you were on Twitter last night, it seemed that was what everyone was talking about. Power Failures and what to do now...

Reports from 11ALive indicate that trees were reported down, "on a house on the 1400 block of Copeland Avenue in Southwest Atlanta," and at one point, "power was out to 21,000 people around the state."

CBSAtlanta interviewed a man last night on Allegheny Street in southwest Atlanta, who explained what he saw and the damage that impacted him.
