Cascade Patch Launch Celebration & Holiday Open House Thursday

Community invited to learn more about Cascade Patch;4-5:45 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 16, at Southwest Branch Library; "Cascade Patch 101" demos, door prizes, Patch freebies and more!

Veteran Atlanta journalist David Pendered will cover the Cascade Patch open house Launch Celebration & Holiday Party from 4-5:45 p.m., Thurs., Dec. 16, at the  behind the on Cascade Road.

Pendered has nearly 30 years experience reporting on the region's urban affairs. His coverage over the past decade has focused on the redevelopment of Atlanta's intown neighborhoods.

On Thursday, guests will have a chance to meet and take pictures with city and county officials for Pendered's Friday Patch news story. Business owners and guests also will have an opportunity to met and network with  Atlanta Patch Publisher Terry Phillips, Atlanta Patch Regional Editor Anna Varela, Cascade Local Editor Janita Poe and Cascade Patch correspondents.

In addition to several city and county officials, Zone 4 police officers, member of the Cascade Business Association and others have confirmed attendance at the free event.

The Cascade Patch team will offer  door prizes and free Patch paraphernalia as well as mini "Cascade Patch 101" presentations, where they will show guests how to post free announcements, add comments, search for stories and claim directory listings on Patch.
