Residents Question What Time Curfew is and Whether it's Being Enforced

Juveniles seen on the streets during late night hours.

During August's NPU-T meeting a resident asked officers and the community prosecutor about curfew for juveniles and whether it was actually being enforced.

The West End resident claimed that on his street, there are constantly teenagers "hanging out" at all times of the night and that police seem to not enforce the curfew laws.  So he took the opportunity to ask directly, "what time is curfew?"

The answer is that on the weekdays children under the age of 17 must be inside of their homes by 11 p.m., on weekends the time is midnight.  So even being outside of their homes after 11 p.m., but in the street or driveway would be a violation.
