The Veterans Empowerment Organization Holds Ribbon Cutting on a New Facility on Westlake Ave.

Homeless Veterans get support with a new facility on Westlake Avenue.

Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO), committed to providing housing and support services to homeless veterans, announces the Grand Opening of the VEO Village during a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on the new VEO Campus, Friday, September 7, 2012, from 10am-2pm, at 373 West Lake Avenue NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30318.

VEO Village offers transitional, supportive housing intended to provide homeless veterans the tools to achieve self-sufficiency and also encourage rehabilitation and reintegration into the community. Funded in part by The Home Depot Foundation, VEO unveiled completion plans for the new VEO Village in Southwest Atlanta, which adds an acquisition of an apartment building, three homes (one commercial), with complete upgrades and renovations, approximately 26 new beds to its permanent housing program, a pavilion, exterior fencing and enhancedlandscaping to the existing VEO Campus.

"We remain committed to helping those veterans adversely affected by homelessness," said Frantz Fortune, Executive Director and Founder of VEO. "With the help of The Home Depot Foundation and other corporate & private donors, we can continue to provide relief and support for our homeless veterans at a crucial time…when they need us most."
