The Week Ahead in Cascade

You can enjoy a photo exhibit, sing your heart out, learn about nutrition, play bridge and take a class in gardening.

. This exhibit of pictures by photojournalist Charles “Teenie” Harris captures African-American life from Jim Crow through the civil rights eras in Pittsburgh. All week at the Atlanta University Center at 111 James P Brawley Drive SW, Atlanta. Free.

2. Karaoke. Yes, you can sing! Starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Luella's at 2435 Campbellton Road SW. Free.

3. Nutrition guidance. Learn to read nutrition labels, understand organic vs. non-organic foods, eat for weight loss and create healthy meals at Fit Neighborhood at 5495 Cascade Road SW. 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Free.

4. Senior bridge club. Enjoy cards at the Adamsville Recreation Center at 3201 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW. Noon Thursday. Free.

5. Chef growers training series. The weekly class will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Atwood Community Gardens & Urban Farm at 779 Atwood St. SW. The topic is natural organic fertilizers, building soil and growing healthy plants. $5.
