Valentine's Day - How Much Do You Plan to Spend?
For many, the day set aside to celebrate love is also a big drain on the wallet.
The National Retail Federation says that the average American will spend $126 on Valentine's Day this year.
Research by American Express found that couples will spend $189 on a typical Valentine's date, three time more than singles. American Express also found that women are not generally as generous with their significant other. Nearly half of the women in the survey did not plan to buy a gift for their Valentine.
