Essential Voting Information: Atlanta Early Voting begins Monday, October 14

Early voting for the City of Atlanta began today, Monday, October 14.  The multiple early voting locations are listed below and will be open for the next 3 weeks ahead of the November elections.  Atlanta voters can also request an absentee ballot to vote by mail. Any City of Atlanta voter (registered by October 7, 2013, whether living in Fulton County or DeKalb County) may vote at any early voting location shown below.

Saturday Voting is Family Voting Day

Saturday, October 26, 2013 -  8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

 On this day, voters are encouraged to bring their whole family, with special activities to teach "future voters" about the election process.

Photo identification information

Per Georgia Law, voters are reminded to bring photo identification when voting in person, including during early voting.  A full list of accepted forms of identification is available online.

Residents who do not have photo identification can get a Voter Identification Card at any Fulton County Department of Registration & Elections office.

Absentee ballot information

Any voter who prefers to vote in the November 5, 2013 General Election by absentee ballot can submit a written request for an absentee ballot now.  However, Friday, November 1, 2013 is the last day to request an Absentee Ballot for the upcoming election.  Voters do not have to provide a reason for voting absentee by mail.
 

How to Request An Absentee Ballot?

Online:  Download an Absentee Ballot application from the Department of Registration & Elections website

By Phone:  Call 404-612-7060 to request that an Absentee Ballot Application be mailed to you.  

In Person:  Request and complete an Absentee Ballot Application at any of the three Fulton County Department of Registration & Elections Offices:

  • Fulton County Government Center, 130 Peachtree Street, SW, Suite 2186, Atlanta
  • North Fulton Elections Service Center, 7741 Roswell Road, Room 232, Sandy Springs

·         South Fulton Elections Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, Room 108, College Park
 

By Mail:  In lieu of an official Absentee Ballot Application, a voter may write a letter requesting an absentee ballot. The letter must include all of the following: name and date of the election, the voter's name, address as registered, date of birth, address where the ballot is to be mailed, daytime phone number (optional), and voter's signature.

Mail your Absentee Ballot Application or letter requesting an absentee ballot to: Fulton County Registration & Elections, Attn: Absentee Ballot, 130 Peachtree St., SW, Suite 2186, Atlanta, GA 30303.

By Fax: Submit an Absentee Ballot Application or letter requesting an absentee ballot to: Fulton County Registration & Elections, Attn: Absentee Ballot by Fax to 404-730-8839.

All Absentee Ballots must be returned to the Department of Registration & Elections no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, November 5 (deadline for City of Atlanta only - 8:00 p.m.)
