Ballethnic's "Urban Nutcracker": A 20-Year Holiday Tradition

Ballethnic's Early Holiday Treat: "Urban Nutcracker"

In what's become a 20-year Atlanta tradition, Ballethnic Dance Company
will present its "Urban Nutcracker," Nov. 21-24, at GA Tech's Ferst Center. Always the weekend before Thanksgiving, Ballethnic's production is the first 'Nutcracker' ballet of Atlanta's holiday season.

Ballethnic’s magical adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet
is a “delicious

trek down Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn Avenue” of the 40's.  The multi-cultural cast of 80 adult and youth performers
creates a soulful celebration:  Reggae
Rag Dolls spin, Black Russians leap, Mother Spice and her Spice Drops tumble, and
a Coca-Cola Pas de Six offer a bubbly dance
. And it’s all led by the elegant Brown Sugar and her Chocolatier.

A discounted "Community Night" and group ticket rates are available to families, churches, schools, other organizations.
Call the Ballethnic office @404/762-1416, or visit www.ballethnic.org for details.

To order
tickets, call the Ferst Center box office, 404/894-9600;
