An Evening with Artist Joyce J. Scott

The Spelman College Museum of Fine Art presents an evening with multi-media artist Joyce J. Scott. During this event, Scott will discuss the museum's latest exhibition, "Material Girls: Contemporary Black Women Artists," her current projects, and more. Critically acclaimed for her beaded sculptures and glass figures, Scott uses wry wit and dry humor to tackle complex subjects, and to comment on race, gender and religion. Free and open to the public, the program is organized in collaboration with the Spelman College Women's Research and Resource Center.
