Ballethnic "Leopard Tale" Audition

Ballethnic Dance Company will conduct auditions for its signature production, "The Leopard Tale," on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 3 to 6 p.m., at its East Point studio.

Professional dancers, as well as children and youth with advanced dance training, are invited to audition. Professionals are required to bring a resume and head shot. All participants are required to participate in a dance class during the audition; a $15 fee audition fee also is required.

The selected dancers will perform in Ballethnic's staging of "The Leopard Tale," March 21-24, at the Rialto Theater in downtown Atlanta.

This original Ballethnic production vividly captures the struggle for survival by the powerful leopard and other members of the animal kingdon in the African jungle. The work fuses ballet with modern and African dance techniques  to create a gripping performance, driven by live African drumming.
