 New Year, New Job Opportunities -  Delta Sigma Theta    Atlanta Alumnae  Chapter Holds Career Fair January  23 Employers and job seekers connect at Greenbriar  Mall


In response to the current economic crisis and a  stressed labor market, the Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta  Sorority, Inc., is bringing together jobseekers with companies who seek their  talents. On Wednesday, January 23 from 1:00  p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Greenbriar Mall, upper level, 2841 Greenbriar  Parkway, Atlanta 30331,


Employers  will meet and interview hundreds of job  seekers.Titled, “Uniting Talent  with Opportunity In 2013,” the Career Fair is part of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s  national initiative to respond to national economic conditions such as high  unemployment, threats to Social Security and the widening gap between  people with wealth and people in poverty. The event is being organized by the  sorority’s Economic Development Committee chaired by Dr. Priscilla Oliver and  Bobbie Gary.

Participation in the fair  is free and open to all businesses, jobseekers and those who may be  searching for new opportunities.Space is limited and employers  who wish to participate may obtain a registration form by contacting Antionette  Waits at (404)272-6447 or by sending an email to: deltanetworkingonfridays@gmail.com to register.


Area schools and  universities and other educational organizations will also be present to  distribute information about programs to participants interested in furthering  their education, enhancing current skills or interested in learning new  skills.

Jobseekers should  arrive early and bring several copies of their resumes.Dress is business  attire.Jobs are being offered in the fields of healthcare, manufacturing, IT,  sales, retail, financial, engineering, government, education,  telecommunications, professional, administrative and many more.
