FREE FLU SHOTS, HAIRCUTS HEALTHFARE at W. HUNTER

Free flu shots, haircuts healthcare services/screenings will
be offered at West Hunter Street Baptist Church, October 18, 2012 from 10 am
until 2 pm.  Located at 1040 Ralph David
Abernathy this community collaboration between SPARC, SWEEAC and West Hunter
Street Baptist Church brings sorely needed free health and hygiene care to the
West End community.


Services include immunizations for influenza, tetanus and pneumonia.  Women’s health services including breast
exams, mammogram and Pap test referrals provided.  Licensed doctors, health professionals and
licensed barbers will be on site to perform these services.  Screenings for blood pressure, glucose,
STD/HIV and colorectal will be performed. 
Services are available to any and all free of charge.


Information booths regarding Medicare, employment, nutrition and food
stamps will also be on site.  All
services are provided free of charge and practicing physicians will be
available, in person, to answer any and all questions.

This event is at West Hunter Street Baptist Church, 1040
Ralph David Abernathy in the West End of Atlanta.  Fruits and vegetables will be available to
all following their health screenings.  For

SPARC (Sickness
Prevention Achieved Through Regional Collaboration) is an effort administered
by Atlanta Regional Commission, Fulton County and the Office of Aging.  SWEEAC (Southwest Ecumenical Emergency
Assistance Center) is located on the West Hunter Street Baptist Church Campus
and is a joint effort of 13 churches 7 denominations, operating as a food and
clothing bank in West End Atlanta.
