Participants will gather at Wayfield Foods located at 3050 Martin Luther King Jr Drive, SW; Atlanta, GA 30311 at 12 noon; and at 1:00 pm, the group will stroll to the Adamsville Recreation Center located at 3201 Martin Luther King Jr Dr SW Atlanta, GA 30311, to cast their votes. The purpose of Stroll to the Poll purpose is to motivate and educate citizens of Atlanta on the importance of voting -- and especially the early vote. “We intend to draw attention to the voting process and to encourage all people in our city to show up at the polls and show out with their voting strength,” said Reverend Joe Flint, chairperson of the Atlanta NAACP’s Voter Education Project.

Other dignitaries are still being confirmed, to include Atlanta City Councilman C.T. Martin, State Representative Mable Thomas, State Representative Shelia Jones, and State Senator Horacena Tate, just to name a few.
Members of the East Point/College Park Chapter DST agree, "Stroll to the Polls" is a much needed get out the vote effort and we are so proud to partner with the Atlanta Branch NAACP.”
