Shrine of the Black Madonna Hosts Atlanta Student Movement
Shrine
of the Black Madonna Hosts An Evening with the Atlanta Student Movement
Their
non-violent protests, marches, boycotts, and sit-ins at downtown
businesses in the 1960s successfully challenged Atlanta's Jim Crow laws.
Join us as we honor the Atlanta Student Movement (ASM). Hear them
as they share their stories.
Jocelyn Dorsey, director of Editorials and Public
Affairs, WSB-TV, will moderate the program. The Shrine's Young Adult Fellowship will present a special tribute to the ASM. Free and open to all. For more information 404 549-8676.
