Habitat for Humanity to Raise its 800,000th Home, Wednesday on Verbena Place

Atlanta Habitat works primarily in the city of Atlanta and Fulton County to bring generous donors and hardworking volunteers together with qualified, working families.

Habitat for Humanity will mark a major milestone Wednesday as it raises walls on the 800,000th house that the organization has built, rehabilitated or repaired worldwide. We are fortunate in Cascade Patch that the organization has decided to choose our city for this significant accomplishment.

The milestone home is located in Atlanta Habitat’s neighborhood of Verbena Place. To date, 14 homes have been built in Verbena Place by Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, with plans to construct 38 more in the future.

Habitat for Humanity is on track to build, renovate, repair or improve 1 million homes by the end of 2015.
