Registration Opens December 18, 2013 for Hands on Atlanta Day 2014

Gilliam's Community Garden has been chosen as a Host Site for Hands on Atlanta Day Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. on January 20th, 8am to 3pm.

Those interested must register at http://www.handsonatlanta.org/  Just hit volunteer opportunity for Martin Luther King day link to find Gilliam's Community Garden and register.

According to the staff, "We are in need of volunteers and monetary donation. We need a total of $1,000.00 to cover the rental of a portable toilet, along with supplies needed to make this a remarkable day."

"Establishing our garden was our way to address our community's concern with the availability of fresh foods. We are excited to have been chosen as a host site for the Southwest Atlanta Oakland City community with only a year in development, and we are growing every month and feeding new neighbors every month."
