For nearly 20 years, the Atlanta Business League has recognized business owners, professionals, community, and civic leaders in metro Atlanta who have reached senior level positions; are leading entrepreneurs in their industry; have proven history-making feats; or have attained the ability to influence large public bodies politically and in government.
“It was wonderful to be recognized this morning at the Women of Vision Breakfast with such a group of distinguished Atlanta women,” said Councilmember Sheperd. “I am grateful to Atlanta Business League for this acknowledgment and their vision and commitment.”
Rising from experience as chair of her Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU X) and other community organizations, Councilmember Sheperd is in the full swing of her third term as council representative for District 12. She is a champion for community education, neighborhood safety, economic development, jobs and more.
addition to local appointments, Sheperd also serves her constituents on
a state and national level. Locally, Sheperd is a member of the Georgia
Municipal Association and serves on their Economic Development and
Black Caucus committees.
