Letter to Community: My Journey as a Mother of a Child with Sickle Cell

My name is Tamika Moseley and I have a son with sickle cell disease.

(The following is a letter written by local resident Tamika Moseley, who wants to share her experiences with the entire southwest Community.  There is nowhere else like Cascade Patch that will allow you to share with your own community. My name is Tamika Moseley and I have a son with sickle cell disease.  Sickle cell disease is an inherited and fatal blood disease which affects the red blood cells.  In 2009, my son was hospitalized every 3 to 4 months with a sickle cell crisis and he also received 2 blood transfusions that same year.  I knew I had to change something or this possibly could be our lives, in and out of the hospital on a regular basis so I decided to do extensive research on natural herbs and sickle cell.

I started treating my son with natural supplements and herbs in 2010 and it’s been 3 years later and he has not had a crisis.  I am so excited about his progress I decided to write a book and tell the entire world of my journey.  Within this time, I met Dr Charlie Ware, an Acupuncture Physician located in Hollywood, FL.  Dr. Ware contributed to my book and treats sickle cell patients with herbs, vitamins and homeopathics with great success. Dr. Ware has had such great success on the protocol he has used on his sickle cell patients, that he created his own line of herbal products named, Healing Blends.   We are both passionate and driven to help and educate others globally for this painful chronic disease.

In Africa, there are millions suffering from sickle cell disease and they have little to no medical help.  In fact Africa collectively has approximately 65% of the world’s sickle cell disease population. The death rates are extremely high due to the lack of resources.

Dr. Ware and I managed to make contact with a medical doctor in Texas who is originally from Cameroon, Africa and he was intrigued of our story.  He asked Dr. Ware to send samples of Healing Blends as he was flying to Cameroon.  The doctors in Cameroon then started testing Healing Blends on the most critical patients in the hospital that are in a sickle cell crisis.  After 3 days of treatment, these patients started to make marked improvements.

Currently, Healing Blends is in an observational study in Cameroon. Once the study is complete several hospitals and organizations anticipate ordering the Herbal Blends product line from treatment and maintenance of sickle cell disease.

Stay Tuned, a cure may just be on its way for my son and millions of others.
