Sandtown Middle School Student, Miss Alayna Tobo, Makes National Teen Pageant

The National American Miss pageants are for "Today's Girl" and "Tomorrow's Leaders." The pageant program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation.

Cascade Patch has just received an update about one of our local young students who is bringing our community and her school into the national limelight.  Alayna Georgette Tobo, age 11, is headed to the National American Miss Pre-Teen Pageant as the representative of the State of Georgia.

Miss Alayna Georgette Tobo, age 11, daughter of Mr. George and Dr. Robin Tobo, has earned the opportunity to attend Nationals by earning the title of "State Ambassador".  The National Pageant is to be held in Anaheim, California at Disneyland during Thanksgiving Week, representing the great state of Georgia, where she will have the opportunity to win her share of over $500,000 in cash and prizes!

According to a press release, "the National American Miss pageants are dedicated to celebrating America’s greatness and encouraging its future leaders. Each year, the National American Miss Pageants awards 1.5 Million dollars in cash, scholarships, and prizes to recognize and assist the development of young women nationwide."

About Alayna Tobo
Miss Tobo is the daughter of Mr. George and Dr. Robin Tobo.  Alayna is a 6th grader at Sandtown Middle School where she is active in the Junior BETA Club and 6 grade band. As a recent 5th grader at Stonewall Tell Elementary School she was involved in Student Council, a member of the Junior BETA Club, recipient of Principal’s Award for academic excellence, and an AAA Safety Patrol. She is also an active member of Cascade United Methodist Church serving as an Acolyte, a Cadette Girl Scout and the children’s choir. Alayna earned her Girl Scout Bronze Award in 2012 and is a member of the 2012 Grand Champions- U12 Division Welcome All Panther Cheerleading squad.

Alayna is currently preparing to earn her Girl Scout Silver Award through her community service project working with Kyle's Kids Foundation Inc. to increase awareness of organ donation and transplantation. She also enjoys reading, dancing, doing community service projects, modeling and shopping. 

Miss Tobo’s sponsors include the Girl Scout Cadette Troop 528 of Cascade United 
Methodist Church, family and friends.

The pageant program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation, and offers an “All-American Spirit” of fun for family and friends. Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition, and setting and achieving personal goals.
