Life Line Screening, the nation’s leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, has named national fitness expert and author Andrea Riggs its newest “ambassador of wellness.”
As an ambassador of wellness, Riggs will assist Life Line Screening in promoting the message of disease prevention. She will be featured in Life Line Screening online media and work with community, corporate and faith-based organizations to host wellness events for their members. Riggs brings nearly two decades of fitness training and wellness counseling experience to her partnership with Life Line Screening.
A nationally recognized health and fitness expert, Andrea Riggs is the president of Body Beautiful and the founder of the “Get Body Beautiful” campaign. She has inspired millions to get body beautiful and achieve better health and wellness. She was the trainer on the Atlanta version NBC’s popular weight-loss reality program, “The Biggest Loser” and host of her own radio show, “Get Body Beautiful with Andrea Riggs.” She recently released her first book, “Get Body Beautiful – A 30-Day Fat Loss and Body Toning Plan,” available at www.getbodybeautiful.com.
“Stroke is the fourth leading cause of death and a leading cause of permanent disability,” said Colin Scully, CEO, Life Line Screening. “However, stroke, and many other diseases, can be prevented with proper preventive screening and healthy lifestyle behaviors. We are proud to partner with Andrea Riggs to marry the two imperatives together and deliver a message that will ultimately save lives.”
“The Get Body Beautiful philosophy promotes how greater wellness can be achieved by focusing on three key areas: lifestyle, fitness and nutrition. Preventive screenings should be a part of every lifestyle and absolutely the first step in any wellness, weight loss or fitness programs,” said Riggs. ‘Getting body beautiful has to start from the inside and that first step can be taken with Life Line Screening. I’m pleased to serve as their new ambassador of wellness.”
