A New Year and New Homes are Back

Affordable and well-built homes are ready for new owners!

The clanging of hammers on nails is back. In 2012, it is expected that more builders will get back to their craft in Metro Atlanta including Southwest Atlanta and South Fulton. A few builders have survived the challenging sellers’ market and have  new homes for sale.

Crown Communities  recently started building at Herron Creek Enclave just off Butner Road on Union Road; a new phase in the existing Herron Creek subdivision. The new homes at Herron Creek feature Crown Communities’ spacious Presidential series floor plans; the firm’s elite offerings.

John Wieland is building and celebrating 4 decades of  ‘Building the Best’. Wieland has standing inventory available in Regency Oaks, its moderately priced community in the area. On the Wieland website, they say, “A new John Wieland home is the best of today’s design, made for the way you want to live.”

A visit to one of their South Fulton communities will allow you to see how “New is Better” as they proclaim in their current marketing materials. A long time favorite in the Cascade area, Wieland continues its presence in Guilford Forest as well.

On the beautiful terrain of  the former Lakeside Golf Course is Lakeside Preserve. Legendary Homes, its current developer, is offering attractive pricing and amenities at a prime location just minutes from  Camp Creek Marketplace. As detailed on its website, Lakeside Preserve is a Master planned community which features single family homes in several collections of home sizes and prices. The beautiful welcoming community entrance rivals that of a resort community and leads to one of South Fulton’s premier communities.

If you are thinking about a purchase and want a new home, visit this week’s featured communities. They are in the low to mid $200,000 price range with affordable monthly payments. At a 4% interest rate, payments are in the $1200-1400 range or less depending on down payment, taxes and insurance. There is a saving of several hundred dollars per month when compared to interest rates of a few years ago.

In addition, special incentives are offered at these neighborhoods. The combined benefits of  affordability and builder incentives make new homes an excellent choice  for the smart home buyer.
