The Redlands Tea Party Patriots Are Back!

The Redlands Tea Party Patriots are already making plans for the 2014 election cycle -- and Thursday's meeting, the first since the November election, is the kickoff.

The liberals and their media allies have failed yet again to drive their coffin nails into the tea party movement.

We are back -- and how. On Thursday, we will hold an "open mic night" as part of our 2014 election-cycle kickoff. We are going to make our announcements before openning up the mic so everyone gets a chance to speak.

If you are coming, please get right to your point; what has sometimes happened during our previous "open mic" sessions was that some people got a bit carried away and kept talking.

Please keep the three rules of public speaking in mind:

  • Be brief.
  • Be bright.
  • Be gone.

We want to focus on suggestions and solutions about how we can save our country from the socialists at the local, state and national levels. We also want to hear about what you did in 2012-- and well as what you will do in 2014 and 2016.

As always, our meetings are free and open to the public. The two-hour meeting begins at 7 p.m. A no-host dinner precedes the meeting at the Mill Creek Cattle Co., 1874 Mentone Blvd., Mentone.

The crowds at our meetings usually range from 80 people to more than 150 people. In the wake of last November's national calamity,  I expect there could be more because caring Americans are looking for a way to express their concerns over topics ranging from $17 trillon of debt to the recent and unconstitutional attacks on our Second Amendment rights.

Now more than ever, America needs the tea party because our core values -- free markets, fiscal responsibility and limited government -- work every time they are tried.

Are you content to turn over to your children, grandchildren and posterity an America lesser than the one you recieved? If not, then being a citizen can no longer be a spectator sport.

Tonight's meeting was a lot of fun. We had about 75 people. The best part was Marilyn Snyder's slide show at the end, when she successfully rallied the spirits of our troops. My favorite pic was of the "for sale" sign stuck in the floating home of a beaver. She does these at many of our meetings, and her presentations alone are worth the trip.
