HB704 Hearing POSTPONED

South Fulton Residents,

On Friday, I received a notice that the hearing originally scheduled for Tuesday, February 11th on HB704 has been postponed.  I will send out information about the rescheduled date as soon as it is provided by the chair. Further, I assure you that if no other hearings are scheduled, I will personally provide an opportunity for citizens to be heard in the Capitol about this matter.  If a hearing has not been scheduled prior to South Fulton Day at the Capitol, I will use that time to afford citizens an opportunity.

Further, Tuesday's scheduled hearing has been confused with a committee meeting  of the House Governmental Affairs Committee on Monday, February 10, 2014, at 1:00- 3:00 P.M. in Room 606 CLOB.  HB704 will be discussed by the committee members and not the Fulton County Delegation members on Monday.  I will be in a separate hearing and will not be available for comment during Monday's hearing.  As with all events at the Capitol, residents are free to listen to the discussion.

I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.  Short noticed hearings and changing dates are exactly why you elected me to come to the Capitol on your behalf for the 40 day legislative session.  Despite the quick moving session, I will do my best to keep you in formed no matter the length of notice.  I appreciate that you are engaged and need your assistance in spreading the word.
