N.C. Policeman Shoots Unarmed Black Man - Is This Similar to Trayvon's Case?

It has happened again...and let's be truthful it happens all day, everyday in America...an innocent person is gunned down by a firearm.

This time 24-year-old Jonathan Ferrell had his life ended at the hands of a North Carolina police officer, who is accused of firing 10 gunshots into his badly injured body.  Ferrell was carrying an injury that occurred moments before when his vehicle was supposedly damaged in a car wreck.

According to news reports, Ferrell was a former Florida A&M University football player who was reportedly seeking help after a car crash when he ran to approach police officers and was subsequently shot dead by Officer Randall Kerrick who is charged with voluntary manslaughter after he shot and killed Ferrell.

Outrage has been expressed on both sides of this incident.  Local community members are saddened by the officer's quickness to shoot and his judgement to fire 10 times into Ferrell's body.  Some law enforcement workers, on the other hand, have taken to the airwaves to express their surprise that Officer Kerrick was charged and in jail so quickly after the shooting, citing a possible rush to judgement.

So what do you think of this situation Cascade?  Will this case end up capturing the nation's attention again?  Will justice be served?
