Alert: Childress Drive Rape Suspect Sketch

Atlanta Police need your help identifying the rape suspect in the police sketch, before he commits the crime again.


A composite sketch of a man who is suspected of committing rape on February 15th near the 1800 block of Childress Drive next to Cascade Heights, has been released today by the Atlanta Police Department.

According to APD spokesperson, Ofc. Chafee, "a 26 year old female victim advised (APD) that she was walking in the area when she was pulled into the woods by a black male.  The male suspect sexually assaulted the victim and threatened to shoot her if she screamed."

There has not been a description supplied to Cascade Patch of what the suspect was wearing the day of the rape.  Atlanta Police do state that the suspect was last seen walking on Childress Dr. toward Cascade Rd., that Friday afternoon.

2 different sketches have been released.  Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Investigators at 404-546-4260 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $2000.
