APD: "Girl Has been Located and Safe"

The following is a statement released by the Atlanta Police Department in regards to the missing girl incident.

UPDATE: 2:30 p.m.

Thank you for your assistance with this incident. The female has been located and is safe. Further investigation revealed that the female had not been kidnapped. - APD

8:00 a.m. - The Atlanta Police Homicide Unit is attempting to locate 15 year old Arterious Sanders. She is described as being 5'8" tall, weighs 134 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen on 11-13-2013 when she left for school.

Arterious Sanders was originally reported as missing but it is now believed that this may have escalated into a kidnapping. Investigators are asking anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Atlanta Police Homicide Unit at 404-546-4235 or call 911.
