FOUND: APD Says 12-Year-Old Found Safe

McKeyeious Edwards didn't return from school Friday, Feb. 23

UPDATE: APD reports that McKeyeious Edwards has been found and is safe.

 

The Atlanta Police Department is looking for a 12-year-old boy who has been missing since the afternoon of Feb. 24.

McKeyeious Edwards did not return home Crawford Long Middle School.

Edwards, who lives in the 2300 block of Creel Road, was last known to have contacted a friend's family that same day to see if he could have a sleepover at that friend's house, but was told no.

He was last known to be in the Pegg and Baxter roads and Metropolitan Parkway and Cleveland Avenue areas between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m Feb. 24.

Edwards' mother reported him missing just after 12 a.m. Feb. 25. Police are actively investigating this incident and checking possible locations in an attempt to find McKeyeious. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911 or contact Atlanta Police Investigators at 404.546.7512.
