Bank Robbery Suspect Holds Knife to Woman in Cascade Heights

Man gives note to teller on Monday morning that demanded she hand over one hundred-dollar bills and included a threat that read, "Don't make me hurt you."

The Atlanta Police Department’s Commercial Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance regarding a robbery of a Cascade Heights bank on Monday morning.

According to police, a man entered the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2280 Cascade Road around 10 a.m. and handed a note to a teller. The note demanded that she hand over one hundred-dollar bills and included a threat that read, “Don’t make me hurt you.”

According to Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon, the teller gave only five- and ten-dollar bills and this angered the subject. He then grabbed a woman from the customer service desk and held a knife to her side while exclaiming he would kill her if he wasn’t given the proper denominations.
