Cascade Patch has just learned about a 3rd auto theft attempt in the Booker T. Washington community. The information comes directly from a member of the Booker T. "On Saturday, October 19, 2013, around 10:30 pm, I was going out my house to my car to lock my steering wheel and saw a gang of about 7 young black males standing in front of my house and leaving my driveway.  They were attempting to steal my Dodge Neon car.  I called 911.  APD Zone 1 officers responded immediately while I was talking to the 911 operator..  I appreciate the APD Zone 1 response. The driver's door lock & ignition are damaged."

Descriptions:  7 Black males, 15 - 25 years old
Suspect 1.  5'7", light brown complexion, wearing an orange long sleeve sweatshirt
Suspect 2.  5'7", light brown complexion, wearing a white long sleeve t-shirt
Other suspects:  5'5"- 5'7", Medium brown and dark brown complexions, wearing dark clothing
The suspects appear to be the same suspects that attempted to steal my wife's Grand Caravan on Sunday, October 13,  2013 at 2:55 am and again on October 13, 2013 at  8:30 pm.   My address is along White House Dr., Atlanta, GA. 30314.

Reports of the Earlier 2 incidents:

"On Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 8:30 pm, I received a call at work from my neighbor who saw a man in my wife's Grand Caravan trying to steal it again.  The van was parked in my driveway and my wife and son were at home. (across from Washington High School).  I was told the auto thief had a lookout person standing across the street on the sidewalk who was yelling vocal signals to 5 other men."
Descriptions:  Black males, 18 - 25 years old

"
This morning, Sunday, October 13, 2013, at 2:55 am, my wife and I were woken up by tapping at her Grand Caravan in our driveway.  I looked out a bedroom window and saw a man sitting in the driver seat doing something to the ignition switch.  I yelled "Get of of there!" twice.  He got out of the van and left going toward the sidewalk.  He left the van door open and the interior light on.  I called 911.  I stayed inside my home until APD arrived in about 5 minutes.  The thief had tampered with the door lock and ignition switch.  Later this morning, my wife found a hand size rock in her van."
