Court Watch: Who will join NPU-T and Stand up for our Community in Court

Monday at 1pm, Court Watch will take a stance against crime.

Court Watch will flood the courthouse on Monday, to make sure the judge and the Defendant know how the community feels about criminals committing violent crimes in the SW community.

According to a CourtWatch document that has circulated throughout all of the local NPU meetings, here are the facts:

On July 1, 2010, Defendant Oderrick Boone was identified as the individual who entered the Southern Supermarket located on West View Drive in Southwest Atlanta and used a knife longer than three inches to stab the business owner numerous times.

The sentencing occurs on Monday at 1pm in courtroom 4D, located at 185 Central Avenue, Atlanta, GA.

NPU-T Chair, explained the facts of the robbery like this:

The victim was Biak Sung (known as “Pops” in the neighborhood). He was an older Korean male who owned the store located at 1083 Westview Drive, Atlanta, GA.  Boone stabbed Biak Sung 4 times, took the register (only $6 bucks in it), a carton of cigarettes and left the store.

He then came back in the store, stepped over Biak while he was dying to get some potato chips.

How do we stop this senseless violence? How do we get these criminals to think before they act?
